Seven small games.
One shared board.
Yodoku is a daily puzzle site: seven short logic games that share one board, one date and one count of what you have played.
The design idea is that a daily puzzle should behave like a system rather than a toy. One board holds the date, the seven games and a single count of how many are finished; each game is a single sitting rather than a campaign. Between them they cover words, order, quantity and recall — seven shapes on the same grid, none of them larger than a minute.
There is no account to make and no streak to protect. Tomorrow there is simply a different board.

How it plays
A day on Yodoku, in the order it happens.
-
01
Open yodoku.app
No account, no signup and no app store detour. The board is the first thing on the screen, already set to today’s date.
-
02
Pick from seven
Clear the String, Change by One, Word Pool, ORDERLE, FERMI, Quiz Master and 7 Letters sit on the same board. Play them in any order.
-
03
Spend a minute
Each game is one puzzle a day, solved or left alone in about a minute. Nothing to grind, and no timer running against you.
-
04
Watch the count
Every finished game is counted: 3 / 7 played, then 7 / 7. Stopping at three costs nothing and loses nothing.
-
05
Come back tomorrow
The seven games stay, the puzzles change. Yesterday’s board does not follow you around.
Seven games, one grid
In the product these are seven different screens. What they share is the board, the date and the count. Here each one is drawn as a different fill pattern on the same seven-by-seven grid.
-
01
Clear the String word
Find the solution words tucked inside a scrambled string, and clear every single letter.
-
02
Change by One ladder
Turn one word into another, one letter at a time. Every step has to be a real word.
-
03
Word Pool category
Name every word in a category, with the constraint narrowing level by level until only a handful qualify.
-
04
ORDERLE sequence
Put a handful of items in the correct order, one swap at a time, then read why that order is what it is.
-
05
FERMI estimate
Guess a real-world number and calibrate your sense of scale — one question a day.
-
06
Quiz Master trivia
Ten questions a day across eleven categories. One score at the end, and no leaderboard to climb.
-
07
7 Letters letters
Seven letters, one centre. Build words with the centre in them and chase the pangram.
Why it exists
Yodoku is built and operated by Yordan Creatives, the one-person company that also installs winter lighting on shopping streets and public squares in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Amstelveen. One person, two kinds of work: a night on a ladder against a fixed opening time, and a desk where a puzzle has to be solvable in a minute by someone who has never seen it.
The pairing is the point of the company rather than an aside. A street has to be lit and working before it opens, whether or not anyone is standing next to it; a daily puzzle is a smaller system with the same requirement. Yodoku is a product rather than a portfolio piece: the company builds it, operates it, and whatever it earns is billed through Yordan Creatives.
